TigerSide Chat: ‘The Princeton Campus: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’

Discover the fascinating evolution of Princeton University's iconic campus in this TigerSide Chat with University Architect Ron McCoy *80.

Speaker

Since 2008, Ron McCoy *80 has provided overall guidance for the planning, architecture and landscape of the Princeton campus. He is responsible for collaborating with leading architects to advance the values and mission of the institution while respecting and enhancing the unique qualities of the campus. McCoy led the effort to create a comprehensive planning framework for the largest period of growth in Princeton’s 278-year history. Under his leadership, the University has grown by nearly 50%, adding approximately 5 million square feet of new space while creating a pathway to carbon neutrality in 2046 and rehabilitating more than 60 heritage campus buildings. Prior to joining Princeton, McCoy served as University Architect and director of the School of Architecture at Arizona State University. When his schedule allows, he teaches the freshman seminar “Architecture and the American College Campus.”

This event is part of the TigerSide Chats lecture series and is open to the public. Register today!
